Unaccompanied Women is the oldest a cappella group at the University of Chicago, and has been serenading UChicago since 1989! We are an extremely close 13-person group, comprising singers from all over the country who study everything from anthropology to linguistics. We place a big emphasis on group bonding, and view the group as a serious but fun way to make music with some of our best friends. UW hosts a Singing Valentines fundraiser every February, and we perform throughout the year at concerts, festivals, and cultural celebrations. During the 2017-2018 school year, we’ll be performing at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) for the first time ever, which is something we’re really excited about! We also just released an album entitled Ampersand, which is available on Spotify and iTunes. We are happy to perform at a variety of venues, from public proposals to private Bat Mitzvahs. To inquire about hiring us, please email unaccompaniedwomen@gmail.com.

Liz is a 4th year Political Science Major, and is the President and co-choreographer for UW. She spends lots of time dancing, occasionally picking up professional gigs (like being a James Bond gold girl)! When she's not focusing on the arts, she's usually cracking down on homework or planning out the next Strive! OnStage session with the group's MD Leo Bevington. She also loves spending time with fellow members of UW, anytime, and anywhere!
